GoingOn.Today is a GPS-enabled event listings platform designed to help you discover things to do in your local area. Whether you’re looking for live music, food festivals, community gatherings, or something spontaneous, we’re here to help you find what’s going on today.
We focus on immediacy and locality. No overwhelming calendars, just what’s happening around you right now. Plus, our GPS integration keeps everything hyper-local and easy to explore.
Yes! We welcome event submissions from individuals, businesses, and organizations. Just create an account and follow the steps to list your event. Here’s a helpful article on how to add events.
While we aim to include as many local events as possible, there are a few exceptions. We don’t list events that promote hate, violence, or anything that seems misleading or scam-related. We also don’t include private gatherings like house parties or graduations, or events limited to members of closed organizations unless joining is open and easy. Regular retail sales and school classes aren’t supported either. We reserve the right to decline any event listing at our discretion.
No problem! If you already have a calendar and don’t want to manually re-add your events, just reach out to us. We can import events through a variety of formats including API integrations, iCalendar, Google Calendar, or an ICS file. We’ll help make the process smooth so your events show up without extra hassle.
We’re not offering ad space just yet. While advertising is part of our future plans, we want to do it thoughtfully. Our goal is to make sure any ads we introduce genuinely add value for users, not clutter the platform or take away from its usefulness. Stay tuned!
