🖼️ Heartbeat of the City— Jayne Bentley Gaskins’ says of her artwork: “I really don’t care if you call my work fiber art, fiber collage, or mixed media. It’s art. Everything else is irrelevant.”
She describes her exhibit:
“If people are the lifeblood of cities, then streets, subways, and sidewalks are the veins and arteries carrying them through the organism. Some are so fast you think you might have an aneurysm, while others are so slow you’re not sure there is life. But if there is movement, there is life, and it is this rhythm that creates the unique heartbeat of each city.”
