Ponderosa Lounge’s Battle of the Bands

Wednesdays at the Ponderosa Lounge are all about live music, competition, and YOU helping decide what happens next. From June 3rd through July 15th, catch Northwest country-leaning bands go head-to-head in the Battle of the Bands, with each night bringing fresh matchups, high energy sets, and rising talent fighting to move forward in the bracket.

Judged by music industry pros and fueled by a packed crowd, every show is part of the road to the final showdown on July 25th, when the winner takes the headlining spot and the runner-up opens the night.

This isn’t just a show—it’s a weekly live music experience where your energy in the room matters. Come early, grab your spot, and be part of the action at Portland’s home for country — the Pondo!

Sam Girl –

From heartfelt originals to crowd-favorite country hits, Sam Girl brings an energetic, soulful sound that lights up the room. Performing alongside her dad and a band of seasoned musicians, this rising country artist delivers high-energy shows packed with heart, storytelling, and Northwest charm.
