About this event
Celebrate the beauty of fall at Lan Su Chinese Garden’s annual Chrysanthemum Festival! Families can explore a colorful display of 81 chrysanthemum varieties, admire cascading blooms and creative floral sculptures, and discover the flower’s cultural significance in Chinese culture. Kids can try their hand at writing traditional Chinese characters and make their own chrysanthemum wind chime during weekend activities. For an extra-special experience, check out Nights of the Golden Flower, featuring illuminated floral art on select evenings. A Sensory Night will be offered on Saturday, November 14. Most daytime activities are included with regular garden admission. Children ages 5 and under receive free admission. Some workshops and evening events require separate tickets. Free parking is available in Lan Su’s sister lot next to the garden. Located in Portland’s historic Old Town Chinatown, Lan Su offers a beautiful setting for families to explore nature, art, and Chinese culture together. Come explore this beautiful flower and time of year!
