Third Place Books welcomes authors Helen Scheuerer and Penn Cole to our Lake Forest Park store for a joint event celebrating two of this fall’s most anticipated romantasies! Helen’s Kiss of the Black Flame kicks off a searing trilogy about a gifted bookbinder and a cursed immortal general bound together by a dangerous magical bargain. Penn’s Burn of the Everflame is the never-before-published conclusion to her epic Kindred’s Curse Saga, following a woman who must risk everything to save her family—and all of mortalkind. Tickets are required in advance.

What you need to know:

• All tickets come with a book. You can choose Kiss of the Black Flame, Burn of the Everflame, or both. Books will be distributed at the event and cannot be picked up in advance. Copies of the featured books will be pre-signed.
• During the post-event signing, each author will personalize 1 copy of their featured book and sign/personalize 1 additional book. Each guest is allowed two items per author. No photos, please!
• Signing lines for ticketed events can run for several hours—please plan accordingly! Signing line priority will be given in the order in which guests check in night-of. Check-in will open at 6:00pm. Please contact us with any accessibility inquiries.
• Tickets must be purchased through Eventbrite. Pre-ordering the featured book will not grant you access to the event.
• If you are unable to attend the event, your book will be placed on hold at our Lake Forest Park store. You may request to have your book transferred to our Ravenna or Seward Park neighborhood stores.

Copies of Kiss of the Black Flame, Burn of the Everflame, and other books by Helen Scheuerer and Penn Cole will be available for purchase at the store.
